Durango Mountain Resort Handicap MapDurango Mountain Resort considers it a priority to provide access for our guests with disabilities.  Because your individual destination, snow and other weather conditions at the Resort may have a bearing on access, we encourage you to contact us so that we can provide up to date guidance and support to enable your most effective and safe route of travel.

Access Information:  assistance is available through two contact points:
►  Business Hours:  Resort Guest/Skier Services:  970-385-2168.
► All other hours:  Resort Front Desk (located in Purgatory Lodge):  970-385-2100.

Adaptive Sports Association:  this program offers world-class winter and summer programming for persons with disabilities.  Conveniently located near the entrance to the Resort, information on programs and services are available at:  www.durangomountainresort.com/adaptive/ or www.asadurango.com

Line Privileges:  permission to go to the front of the lift line is extended to individuals with disabilities that have difficulty standing for extending periods and those whose adaptive equipment make it difficult to navigate with the maze.  This specifically includes skiers with above the knee amputations, (and below the knee if skiing on one ski), physically disabled using the mono-ski, bi-ski or sit ski, four-track skiers with two skis and two outriggers and persons with blindness with a guide.  All sit-ski must be equipped with standard evacuation systems (straps, hooks, etc.) and may be inspected at the base of each lift.  Upon arrival at the lift, please let the lift operators know the type of assistance you may need for loading and unloading or any other special preferences.

Bring On the Summer Fun!

Before we start with a great summer season, thank you for such a fantastic winter! Our CEO, Gary Derck, wanted to share with you his appreciation and you can find his letter here.

Water Runners

This year’s new attraction, Water Runners, will thrill all ages as you safely float, walk, run and roll on the surface of the water without ever getting wet.  Step inside a transparent bubble, close the air-tight zipper and away you go – walking, running and jumping on water – an exciting and fun experience.

Sky Hike Adventure

This new family ropes course is designed specifically for Durango Mountain Resort.  Climb over net bridges, wooden beams, rope ladders and more with this fun, family-friendly obstacle course. You’re strapped into a harness so it is completely safe to use and fun to master!
